CHALLENGE
A lack of resources for nonprofessional and organization event planners makes it difficult to stay organized during the event planning process.
For the everyday person, the event planning process is often chaotic, involving unorganized emails, reliance on word of mouth to find vendors and venues, and the need for planners to devise their own methods to stay organized due to the absence of a centralized hub for information and resources. The significant demands placed on planners can be stressful, impacting both the creativity and coordination of the event.
THE APPROACH
Creating a centralize hub of information for varies event types emulating the idea of a physical “planning binder”.
This approach was chosen based on insights from user interviews with both professional and amateur event planners, as well as findings from competitive research that highlighted the importance of service scale and event type of different competing platforms.
THE SOLVE
Introducing Evenit, a mobile website designed to help users find vendors and venues and organize all important information in one place. A quick assessment generates a digital event binder based on the type of event being planned. Once the user has set up the binder, they can book and message vendors, create to-do lists, set appointments on the calendar, and share the binder with other planners.
